More than half of U.S. veterans do not identify with a major political party, with rates accelerating among younger veterans
Veterans are more likely to volunteer, run for office, and donate to civic causes. In a 2020 study, 32% Veterans engaged in volunteer work compared to 22% of non-veterans.
Veterans for All Voters DC leader, Lisa Rice, led the Yes on 83 campaign to victory in the District of Columbia. 72% of voters had voted in favor of the initiative.
